Two men, Joseph Bernazar, age 26, and Edwin Lopez, age 32, were caught and taken in for attempted theft at the Woodbridge Walmart on November 21st.

The crime was supposed to be quick: Bernazar would go in, take and hide the items, then walk out, with Lopez waiting just outside for him. Unfortunately, that’s not how it went. Bernazar ended up getting caught with $750 worth of electronics on him, and was immediately taken into custody. As it turns out, this wasn’t Lopez’s first time there, as he had shoplifted there multiple times already, accumulating around $2500 in total stolen electronics. 

“One of the men has shoplifted from the Woodbridge Walmart four different times,” the store’s security said.

Lopez fled the scene as soon as their intentions were shown, leaving Bernazar behind, and apprehended. Police gave chase to Lopez, resulting in him also getting apprehended.  Both men were arrested and brought to Woodbridge Police Headquarters.
