The Technology School Association (TSA) is a a national organization that allows students interested in technology and education to compete in different competitions related to the field of STEM. TSA allows students in both high school and middle school to compete in events at both the state and national level. Students are encouraged to learn different skills and careers related to STEM, and also engage in other activities that build upon their leadership skills during these events.
This year was the first year that TSA was offered to the students of Sayreville War Memorial High School. On April 27, participants of SWMHS’s TSA competed in their first ever NJ TSA event. The state conference was hosted by TCNJ. During the state conference, students engaged in various activities. Some of them included a competitive scavenger hunt, seminars on the intersection between STEM and education, and a TSA member meet and greet. These activities allowed students to learn more about the STEM field and TSA as a whole.
