About the RUBY Program
Each year, the RUBY Program invites high school students to participate in three campus visits, held in January, March, and May. These visits cater to high school sophomore, junior, and senior students, offering tailored experiences that align with their academic and career aspirations.
During these visits, students engage in specialized workshops that introduce them to the fundamentals of business, college preparation strategies, and real-world professional insights. With a focus on business education and career readiness, RUBY serves as a bridge between high school and higher education, ensuring students are well-prepared for their future endeavors.

A Look at the Three Annual Visits
First Visit: Building Foundations
The January visit introduces students to business fundamentals, offering grade-specific sessions:
- Sophomores receive an introduction to the business world.
- Juniors delve into advanced business concepts.
- Seniors explore real-world market trends and business strategies.
Second Visit: Academic & Career Preparation
In March, students meet with Rutgers Business School faculty, gaining insight into academic expectations, learning styles, and the college experience. Workshops focus on refining essential career skills such as interview techniques and resume writing, ensuring students are prepared for both college admissions and future job opportunities.
Third Visit: College & Career Exploration
The May visit shifts focus to college applications and career exploration. Juniors receive hands-on mentorship from Rutgers Business School students, guiding them through the application process. A highlight of this visit is an exciting business major scavenger hunt, allowing students to explore fields such as finance, marketing, and management. The visit concludes with guest speakers from Deloitte and Johnson & Johnson, providing real-world career insights and networking opportunities.
