2025-2026 School Year
Sayreville FBLA has kicked off the school year with some exciting new events! In August, the board members put together a board bonding event at the South Amboy Waterfront. Board members participated in games and activities and got to know each other better.
There was also an interest meeting for all new and returning members interested in joining FBLA on September 22, after school. If you missed the meeting, please reach out to Mr. Annett, the chapter adviser, or any of the board members.

Overall Chapter Honors and Awards
Sayreville FBLA competed at the New Jersey State Leadership Conference in Atlantic City and took home 78 medals and 38 trophies, placing in many different events. Those who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th qualified to participate in the National Leadership Conference in June. Congratulations to those who placed!
Awards and honors were also given to the Sayreville FBLA chapter in various categories. Multiple chapter honors were awarded to Sayreville, including the Gold Seal Award of Merit, the Chapter Website Award of Merit, and the Champion Chapter Award. The chapter also placed third in the Passport of Progress Award. The chapter also reached several community service milestones. Projects such as Whiskers for Wishes and Advocate for Anthony are just some of the community service projects Sayreville FBLA has participated in. In these events over, 100 members contributed. These efforts led to Sayreville receiving 4th place in the Community Service Challenge Award and 2nd place in both the Whiskers for Wishes and Advocate for Anthony projects.
Individual Honors and Awards
In addition to the whole chapter earning recognition at the State Leadership Conference, individual members were also recognized for their efforts and contributions to FBLA. The Gold Officer Award was awarded to Megha Chauhan, last year’s chapter president, and the Gold Member Award was awarded to Tanvi Agarwal for her outstanding contributions to our chapter. Six of our members were nominated and recognized for the Member of the Month Award: Shaili Shah, Ava Patel, Tanvi Agarwal, Aleksandra Kubik, Megha Chauhan, and Brody Canaan; they were honored for going above and beyond to serve our chapter. Lastly, we would also like to applaud Tanvi Agarwal for running for NJ FBLA Secretary. Although she did not win the election, she should be recognized for her efforts in putting forth a wonderful and solid campaign.
2025 National Accomplishments
This past June, 34 of our members participated in the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. These members excelled at the State Conference in March and had the opportunity to compete at the national level. Aanya Patel and Vicky Cueva placed 8th in the nation for Introduction to Social Media Strategies, an amazing accomplishment. Members from Sayreville Middle School FBLA also got the opportunity to compete at NLC, with the following winners: Khloe Desai, Kaycee Manigameli, and Jordyn Farrell won 10th place for Annual Chapter Report, and Braxton Cabantan, Reyansh Sharma, and Shawn Verma won 4th place for Video Game Design. These are outstanding achievements; congratulations to all.
Sayreville FBLA is looking forward to the 2025-2026 school year and seeing what its members will accomplish!
