Book Review: Retail Pride: The Guide to Celebrating Your Accidental Career

Rishi Shah, Staff Writer

The book Retail Pride: The Guide to Celebrating Your Accidental Career discusses working in retail.

The author, Diane J. Brisebois, has worked in retail for more than 40 years and shares her experiences and advice in this book.

The book is easy to read and I found it very interactive.  It teaches us about different retail jobs, like sales associates and store managers. Brisebois also teaches us about good customer service and handling difficult customers.

Retail Pride reminds us that retail is an excellent career, and we should be proud of our work. It has practical tips and advice for those new to retail work. It also talks about retail skills that can help us in other careers.

Overall, I would recommend this book to any high school student looking for a career in retail or already working in the industry. It’s a fun and informative read that can help us be proud of our work and learn new skills.
