Even An Elephant May Slip

“Even an elephant may slip.” – Indian Proverb

This popular animal proverb from India alludes to people in positions of considerable authority or leadership. This quote suggests that great leaders, like the enormous and mighty elephant, can also slip in the mud, and that people with power are not immune to failing or making mistakes.

This proverb made me realize the things that may seem perfect to me may not ideally be perfect and that they may slip like the elephant. We all have flaws, no one is perfect, and nothing in life is invisible, as even big elephants can slip into the mud.

With this, I suggest not trying to be flawless or perfect, because it’s not ideally possible but instead aspiring to be the best you possibly can be.
