Everyday, we are surrounded by loved ones, friends, and mentors. But who rubs off on us more?
I asked two students: Yvette Kwasikumah and Arina Lisnychi. They both said their mothers.
Mothers step in to instill morals and to be nurturing. Their role in our lives is very prominent and will always be present as we begin our lives in the real-world.
I can say the same for myself. The person I most admire is my mother. She is a woman that demonstrates perseverance and hard work.
My father had been diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma when I was 7 years old. Throughout the almost six years he lived afterwards, my mother worked every day to provide for the household and to take care of him.
Still till this day, she continues to work to provide for our household and to provide everything we want and need.
She is the woman who I admire and the one who inspires me everyday.
