Things To Do This Holiday Season

Figuring out what to do for the holiday season can seem daunting, as the same few ideas are repeated continuously, and it’s difficult to find something new to do nowadays. We’ve all heard the classics: gingerbread houses, baking cookies, watching a Christmas movie; but what about something new, something that is refreshing and sparks the Christmas spirit? Here are some “refreshing” ideas that you could do this holiday season:

  1. Create an advent calendar: With a friend, both of you will create an advent calendar for each other. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but it’s fun to create and makes a great gift for them!
  2. Create a time capsule: Traditions, values, and even yourself change over time. Making a Christmas time capsule will allow you to recall old traditions and what Christmas felt like when you were younger, especially transitioning from childhood to adulthood.
  3. Cooking competition: With family or friends, host a cookie competition and see who can bake the best cookies!
  4. Presentation party: With family or friends, everyone creates their own presentation that recaps what has happened since the last time you guys met up. This makes a great night for laughter and fun!
  5. Cultural exchange dinner: With friends, everyone brings in a dish that is part of their individual culture, which when put together makes a great feast for everyone to enjoy each other’s dishes!

Happy Holidays and Enjoy the Break!
