In the week leading to homecoming, students participated in Spirit Week. The spirit days included: Pink Out, Teacher Student Swap Day, Jersey Day, USA Day, and Bomber Blue Out. Students and teachers alike participated. On Friday, SWMHS held its annual fall pep rally, where all fall and winter sports were recognized.
SWMHS hosted its homecoming football game against Montgomery High School. The theme for the game was pink-out, which was in support of breast cancer awareness. Unfortunately, the football team lost the game, but the players put up a good fight.
The homecoming dance was held the following night from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. This year, the theme was The Great Gatsby. Students were able to enjoy the music and were even given opportunities to get their pictures taken before entering the dance. Pizza was served from Rustoni’s, and drinks such as soda and water were also available. For dessert, three different flavors of ice cream were served. There was also a photo booth where students were able to get their pictures taken with their friends. Overall, this was a fun and engaging night for all students.
